EVBox was founded in 2010 and has since grown to become a leading global provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. Our journey began in the Netherlands, where we established our headquarters and developed innovative charging technologies, including charging stations and charging management software. Over time, we expanded our operations internationally, and as part of our growth strategy, we established a presence here in the United States. After careful consideration, we chose Libertyville, Illinois as our U.S. headquarters due to its central location, strong infrastructure, and commitment to sustainable initiatives.
We’re currently operating at a state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft facility on the Innovation Park campus in Libertyville, and producing over 200 DC fast chargers per week. As a growing organization, we couldn’t be more excited to be part of the community and help strengthen local production and employment. Our new location also places us in closer proximity to our American customers—allowing both communication and production to be quicker, smoother, and more environmentally friendly.

EVBox offers a range of services to support the transition to electric mobility. Our primary focus is on designing, manufacturing, and delivering high-quality EV charging stations and associated hardware. We provide AC and DC charging solutions for various settings, including workplaces, commercial buildings, and public spaces. Because our hardware is software agnostic and OCCP compliant, we make it easy for businesses and organizations to monitor, control, and optimize their charging infrastructure. Most importantly, our charging solutions allow businesses to enter the market without barriers and scale their offering as demand for EV charging grows.

We’re especially proud to have created over 100 new jobs in the immediate region by the end of 2023, with more growth coming.
