HealthPro Innovation Workforce Solutions, LLC

By Diane Cafi, President and CEO

ILCC: How did HealthPro Innovation Workforce Solutions LLC get its start?

DIANE CAFI: One morning, my husband, business PARTNER, Beni (Arben) and I were drinking a cup of coffee.  As we traveled down memory lane, we discovered that we had over 50 years of combined professional experience.  That’s when we had the A-ha! Moment.

In 2012, our first business venture was Nursing Excellence Continuing Education Services. In mid-2018, we established HealthPro Innovation Workforce Solutions, LLC in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. The company is a Medical – Nurse Staffing Firm. We are a family-owned business, certified as a Woman-owned small business and a woman business enterprise. We provide medical-nursing personnel to healthcare facilities. We collaborate with our partnering facilities and promote public safety. Onsite training and orientation are provided to our licensed and unlicensed personnel assigned at our partnership locations. We have a LIVE recruiter available 24/7 with access to an Illinois and national nurse registry across disciplines.

We have a team that serves with passion. During the worldwide pandemic, the most dangerous time of our lives, our personnel demonstrated reliability and loyalty to the company by volunteering their time. Our licensed personnel vaccinated the community and county at the Kendall County Covid-19 Clinic. While, our unlicensed personnel volunteered, registered and implemented the assigned tasks at the Kendall County Covid-19 Clinic. We have a great team.

ILCC: Why did you locate in Illinois?

CAFI: We chose Illinois to set up our company because it is our home. My children (Dylan and Arielle) and I are native Illinoisans. Illinois is rich in diversity, culture, and history, and Beni and I feel connected to our family roots.

ILCC: What do you do for the company?

CAFI: I am the CEO/President and a master’s prepared registered nurse with a broad perspective on healthcare. I held positions in the areas of leadership, mentorship, administration, academia, advocacy, and clinical personnel. Beni is the Vice-President with a wealth of experience in leadership, business management, and sales. We are a talented group. We manage the entire company. For example, we establish relationships and obtain contracts, but we do not limit ourselves to working with clients and managing personnel.

We attract quality talent. We save clients money in operating costs, human resources, and administrative functions as well as reduce liability and minimized risk management costs.

A comprehensive credentialing process is performed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation governing bodies and facility requirements; liability is reduced. Aside from providing resourceful and skillful personnel, we minimized risk management costs for our partnerships on the personnel we provide. We do a lot behind the scenes.

ILCC: How is business?

CAFI: The company flourished during its first year in business. Year after year, the company continued its growth. This created plenty of jobs for personnel at a competitive wage as well as professional fulfillment. Nonetheless, as Illinois’ new legislation and new business strategies evolve, we are constantly developing new economic strategies to retain quality talent.

ILCC: What is new with the company?

CAFI: We have launched an intravenous (IV) training plan for healthcare facilities that require licensed personnel to develop IV skills. Nurses can earn professional nurse licensure credit through Nursing Excellence Continuing Education Services, an accredited provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Hence, we serve as a resource for international nurses transitioning to the U.S. to enter the workforce. Nevertheless, we have partnered with the Gies College of Business, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to give business students firsthand experience on their assigned projects. As a result, business students obtain business college credit through UIUC. Last, we will soon launch a new service line and announce it on our social media page.

ILCC: How does the Illinois Chamber of Commerce help your company?

CAFI: The Illinois Chamber of Commerce advocates for public policy measures that foster corporate interest and opportunity. As a member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, we stay abreast of the seen and unseen Illinois legislation. Our weekly GAP calls are meaningful to us as we learn about legislative updates.
